
Dr.
Tony M. Woodward, DVM, AVDC graduated
Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado State University in 1977, and
subsequently attended veterinary school at the same institution,
graduating in 1981. He has practiced in Colorado since graduation,
focusing primarily on small animal practice.
Beginning in 1996, Dr. Woodward
has spent the majority of his time practicing small animal
dentistry and pursuing education in that field. Since June
2000, Dr. Woodward has limited his practice to strictly veterinary
dentistry. In March 2001, Dr. Woodward opened Animal Dental
Care, one of the few practices in the United States devoted
to veterinary dentistry.
Dr. Woodward is Board Certified
in Veterinary Dentistry, and is a Diplomat of the American
Veterinary Dental College. This is an advanced level of certification
achieved by very few individuals.
Dr. Woodward has obtained over
1000 hours of dental specific education, including hundreds
of hours spent with human and veterinary dental specialists,
numerous professional meetings, hands on laboratory sessions,
and hundreds of hours of self-imposed reading. He has lectured
locally and nationally on dental related topics.
Dr. Woodward was elected and
served as Secretary /Treasurer and later President of the
Colorado Veterinary Medical Association. He is currently on
the advisory board of the American Boarding Kennel Association,
and serves as the chairperson of the Awards Committee for
the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association.
Personal interests include fly fishing, backpacking, windsurfing,
mountain biking, guitar, Labrador retrievers, and spending
time with his family.
